ACRYLIC SOLUTION
Challenge: Client needed the properties of a molded tank without the costs of a molded tank. Client was originally quoted $300,000 by another company for all the tooling required to make 8 tank sizes. Originally they just needed prototypes, but even after the initial prototypes, the client didn’t have the quantity requirements to justify the tooling costs.
Solution: Machine, fabricate and assemble out of solid Acrylic pieces.
Result: Prototypes were made for under $10,000, saving the client $290,000. High-speed machining centers allowed the production piece costs to be competitively priced for the low-volume requirements.
