VALVE ASSEMBLY
Challenge: To create a mixing chamber out of molded and machined parts while holding the tight tolerance requirements. This design wasn’t moldable or machineable in one piece. Food grade requirements demanded specific materials and additives to prevent mold growth and staining while maintaining bondability.
Solution: We used the efficiency of molding and the accuracy of machining to marry together the perfect blend of manufacturing that allowed for internal features that were not possible to achieve previously.
Result: A highly efficient and cost effective mixing chamber that met all requirements, holding .002 thousands on a diameter and a 32 micro-finish on boring grooves.
